Meet Mrs. Giambattista,
“This is my third year at Our Savior Lutheran School and I am excited to be part of such a great community!
This will be my seventh year teaching, but my fifth year in kindergarten. I previously have taught fifth grade, secondary English, and have additional experience working in Special Education. I hold a Bachelors in Journalism and a Masters in Education with Distinction Honors.
I was born, raised, and educated in New York, but recently moved to Hawaii from California, where I lived for 5 years, while my husband was stationed there.
In addition to teaching, I have been a personal trainer for 13 years and am known for providing a lot of movement in my lessons because of this! Children learn best when they are directly involved in the process.
I am a lover of literacy and enjoy teaching children to read and write. They are the building blocks of everything, which is why kindergarten is such a special time.
In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my family, reading, painting, working out, hiking, and exploring the island!
I am also writing my first book!
