Meet Mrs. Tawny DeMello-Kuntz,
Now in her fifth year at OSLS, Mrs. Tawny DeMello-Kuntz (D.K.) is entering her 10th year of service in Hawaiʻi’s schools. A lifelong Oʻahu resident, Mrs. DK attended both public and private schools, including St. Mark Lutheran School (our sister school in Kāneʻohe), and Kamehameha Schools (C/O 2010). She holds a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Education fields.
She is passionate about History and current events and sits as our Social Studies department chair. She also makes it a priority to address the whole child, and will often counsel her students, both current and former. In her free time, she enjoys singing, eating, and spending time with her husband, Kamakana, her daughter Eden, and her middle-aged American Bully, Kai.
