Meet Ms. Doran,
Aloha!
I am Ms. Pearl Doran, and this will be my first year teaching 1st grade. I have been with Cross Academy/Our Savior Lutheran for over 20 years. I started as a part-time teacher’s aide and later became a full-time teacher’s aide in various grade levels, and stood in as a substitute teacher. Before moving on to teach 1st grade, I was in second grade for two years.
I graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Christian Ministry from Wayland Baptist University Hawaii. My passion is teaching all ages about the Good News of Jesus Christ. My home church is with the Salvation Army Kroc Center in Kapolei.
I have one son who is an alumnus of Our Savior Lutheran School. He attended Saint Louis High School for Young Men and Oregon State University. Presently, he is a captain and a pilot, and flies C-17s air cargo jet with the Hawaii Air National Guard for 10 years. Recently of last year, he also got hired with Hawaiian Airlines. His father is a retired Lt. Col from the Hawaii Air National Guard also from the same squadron our son is in.
I am looking forward to my new incoming 1st graders!
